Centennial Parklands Sports Centre is managed by Clublinks Management Pty Ltd (Clublinks) under a management agreement with the Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust (the Trust). As part of your Team Registration, you are agreeing you have read and accepted the below Competition Rules.

Payment

Team registration payment is determined by CPSC competition staff via a standard weekly cost multiplied by the number of weeks within the competition season. Teams will have a maximum of four weeks to complete their whole team payment via the registration platform Spawtz. If teams wish to use the payment method ‘Pay My Share’, where the registration payment is equally split amongst team-members, the team captain is liable for all payments if they are not complete at the end of the period. Alternatively, teams can pay in full via credit card via the Spawtz portal. No cash payments are permitted.

Forfeits and Online Team Roster

Additional players can be added or removed throughout the season providing you do not exceed the maximum players per team (12 for Netball, 10 for 5v5 soccer and 12 for 7 v 7 soccer). It is up to the team captain to manage any reconciles of payments for late entrants to the team.

A completed online team roster is due prior to the first scheduled game. Teams will need to nominate a team captain/organiser. The team captain/organiser will be the first point of contact to pass on any messages to the team.

If your team is required to forfeit any matches, CPSC must be notified by 12pm the day of the match by calling 9662 7033 or emailing bookings@parklandssports.com.au.

Additionally, the forfeited team will be penalized one point from the league standings and incur a 10- 0 loss for the forfeited game (for netball). Continual / Numerous forfeits could result in your team being removed from the competition with no refund.

15,16 & 17-year-olds may play, however if they under the age of 18 they must be accompanied by an adult at all games. You are able to interchange your registered players if you are short on numbers for a match. You may also contact CPSC on 9662 7033 for assistance in finding extra players for you where possible.

If game is forfeited, we will do our best to organise a friendly or the opposing team may utilize the time slot for team training or a game amongst themselves. No refunds are provided in the event of an opposition cancellation.

Risk Warning

Playing sport is subject to risks and players can incur injuries. There are also risks that access to medical assistance, and evacuation might be slow, and of damage to, or loss of, your personal property. Parklands carry Public Liability Insurance. For personal injuries we strongly recommend you join a medical health fund of your choice.

Release and Waiver

If you suffer injury, loss, claims, liability or damage while at Centennial Parklands Sports Centre, to the fullest extent permitted by law, you release the Trust and Clublinks Management Pty Ltd (Clublinks), their employees, officers and contractors from any liability for any loss suffered by you and you release each of the Trust, Clublinks and their employees, officers and contractors from any responsibility or legal liability for death or personal injury associated with your presence at Centennial Parklands Sports Centre and any activities you undertake at Centennial Parklands Sports Centre.

Inclement Weather

Soccer: All competitions are played on our state-of-the-art all-weather fields, no games are called off due to wet weather. Games may only be called off in the event of extreme weather (e.g., localised lightning) or urgent unplanned maintenance. Decisions regarding extreme weather and cancellations are made each day at 5.30 pm. The coordinator will contact the captain of each team to advise of any cancellations. No refunds are provided due to inclement weather.

Netball: In the case of wet weather and the courts are deemed ‘unsafe’ we will announce via our FACEBOOK PAGE and will be made by 4.30pm (the decision may be made earlier at the discretion of the organiser). The season includes a wet weather contingency round. No refunds are provided due to inclement weather.

Competition Rules – Soccer

Competition rules are subject to change at the discretion of the Soccer Coordinator at any time during the course of the season.

Games cannot be rescheduled or changed once the league schedule has been posted on the Centennial Parklands Sports Centre website.

Teams are awarded: 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss.

The competition standings are determined by the following: Total Team Points and then Goal Difference.

Matches-

Time

  • Game times: Run from 6:20pm, 7pm, 7:40pm, 8:20pm & 9pm on Monday evenings and 6:20pm, 7pm, 7:40pm and 8:20pm on Fridays (depending on number of team registrations).
  • Duration: 40 2 x 19 minutes halves and 1-minute halftime break
  • There is a 1-minute break between games
  • Teams coming off must exit the field Teams coming on must be prepared to start the game immediately (no warm-up time or space designated on the game field)
  • No extra time in the case of a draw (during regular season)
  • Failure to field a team will result in a team forfeit
  • The clock runs from the designated game time, so if you are late to start the game or return from half time, your game time will be reduced as a result
  • There are spaces around the game pitches which you can warm up and cool down, please ensure that your warmup/cool down does not affect the running of the competition (e.g., ball rolling onto pitch)
  • Please provide your own ball for warm-up as competitions balls are allocated to each pitch

Field Play

  • No offsides
  • No slide tackles (ONLY ALLOWED IN 6 v 6 EXTERNAL TO GOALBOX)
  • Mixed teams: 2 Females are always required on the field
  • Games will be played with 1-2 match balls

Boundaries

  • No throw-ins, Balls that go out past sidelines will be played in by a kick-in
  • Goalkeeper must throw ball out for goal kicks – ensuring the ball bounces/touches first in their half before the oppositions – if not, the other team will take a kick-in from the halfway mark
  • Both goal kicks and kick-ins must be taken within 5 seconds otherwise the opposition will receive the ball as an indirect free kick from the halfway mark

Kick-off

  • The ball will be placed in the centre of the field to start games and after goals are scored
  • All restarts are indirect (must touch another player on either team for a goal to be scored on restart)

Substitutions

  • Unlimited substitutions – made on the fly (rolling substitutions)
  • Substituted players must first come off the field before a new player may enter
  • Violation of substitution rule will result in an indirect free kick for the opposing team at the spot of the infraction (where substitute coming on early affects play)
  • All substituting players and coaches must remain on the sidelines during the game
  • Goalkeepers who are substituted must be differentiated with a different coloured team shirt

Playoffs

  • If there is a tie in a playoff game, the game will go straight to penalty
  • Ball is placed off the goal box line by 1 step, Penalty is taken with 1 step
  • Three players from each team that are on the field at the end of regulation take a
  • If score remains tied at the end of three kickers, one player from each team will shoot until a winner is decided

Fouls and Penalties

Cautions

  • 1st Yellow Card – Player sinbin for 2 minutes (referees’ discretion for controlling behaviour), can be substituted if there are reserves.
  • 2nd Yellow Card – Player ejected from game (player must report their name to the referee),
  • Straight Red Card – Player ejected from game and suspended for the following game or more at the discretion of competition management (player must report their name to the referee)
  • Failure to report name to official may result in lengthier suspension and/or exclusion from competition altogether

Freekicks

  • All free kicks are indirect except for penalty kicks – must touch another player on either team for a goal to be scored
  • Indirect free kick from the goal box if goalkeeper handles a deliberate pass-back from their teammate
  • Indirect free kick if players slide or leave their feet
  • Indirect free kick for any foul committed outside of goal box

Penalty Kicks

  • A penalty kick is awarded against a team that commits a foul inside the goal box
  • Ball is placed off the goal box line by 1 step, Penalty is taken with 1 step
  • All players, except for the goalkeeper and the penalty taker, must stand behind the penalty taker until the ball is kicked

Referees

The referees will have sole jurisdiction over the conduct of the game. If a referee terminates a game for any reason, the score at the time of the termination will stand unless mutual unsporting conduct from all players is deemed the means for termination. In this case the result will not count to the standings for either team.

NO PROTESTS directed towards referees or coordinators will be tolerated. If the Competition Rules appear to be violated, the matter may be brought to the attention of the competition coordinator for a final resolution.

Code of Conduct

Player Rules

Wear suitable footwear, soccer trainers or moulded cleats/boots, or AstroTurf trainers, are allowed, but no metal studs/soft ground cleats. No jewellery. Shin guards are advised. Always show good sportsmanship. Please respect all referees and players. Any disrespect or verbal abuse will not be tolerated. If there is any failure to adhere to these rules, the player or spectator will be asked to leave pitch and area. Players are responsible to clean up any garbage from their team bench. Alcohol and smoking are not permitted on the premises

Team Rules

Where possible, teams should wear the same colour shirts/uniform, if not we will provide you with bibs to use on the night. No foul language, or excessive shouting. Minimum of 3 players are required to start an official game. Less than 3 of your team and the match will result in a 10-0 forfeit win to the opposition.

Spectator Rules

Coaches and spectators are always expected to act in good sportsmanship. There will be zero tolerance for abuse (verbal or other) towards referees, players or competition coordinators. Any indication of such behaviour by a spectator, parent, player or coach may result in immediate removal from the competition. We are here to play Football and have fun!

There will be Zero Tolerance for:

A player or coach who consistently argues with the referee or league coordinator. A player, coach or parent using abusive language. A parent from a respective team that does not comply with the parent acknowledgement form or argues with a referee and/or competition coordinator. Always treat all players & umpires with respect. Verbal abuse of officials or other players, deliberately fouling or provoking an opponent and throwing/ damaging equipment is not acceptable or permitted.

Dismissal from Tournament

The result of a coach, parent, or team fan involved in any type of physical confrontation or extreme verbal confrontation with other spectators, referees and/or competition staff will automatically disqualify their entire team from the tournament with no refund. Centennial Parklands Rangers will be immediately called, as may the police. If not stated within this handbook, FIFA rules will apply to the league. Any questions regarding the rules of the league should be directed to a Centennial Parkland Sports Centre Official.

Competition Rules- Netball

Tournament rules are subject to change at the discretion of the Tournament Management at any time during the course of the season.

Games cannot be rescheduled or changed once the league schedule has been posted on the Centennial Parklands Sports Centre website.

Teams are awarded: 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss and -1 for a forfeit.

The competition standings are determined by the following: Total Team Points and then Goal Difference or total competition points divided by games played.

If eighty percent of matches in the competition are played, then it will be deemed a completed competition and no refunds or credits will be offered.

Any credits or refunds will be issued at the discretion of Tournament Management.

Matches-

Time

  • Game times: Run from 15pm, 7.00pm, 7.45pm, 8.30pm on Tuesday & Thursdays
  • Duration: 40
  • There is a 2-minute break between games
  • Time kept by the league co-ordinator
  • Teams coming off must exit the field Teams coming on must be prepared to start the game immediately (no warm-up time or space designated on the game field)
  • No extra time in the case of a draw (during regular season)
  • Games start promptly according to competition schedule – no exceptions
  • Failure to field a team will result in a team forfeit
  • The clock runs from the designated game time, so if you are late to start the game or return from half time, your game time will be reduced as a result
  • There are spaces around the game pitches which you can warm up and cool down in, please ensure that your warmup/cool down does not affect the running of the competition

Team Composition

  • Team must have a minimum of 5 players for the game to go ahead/start.
  • Substitutions are made during the No substitutions are made during play.
  • Mixed teams – 3 males are allowed on court at one One male in each third e.g. – 1 (GK/GD) 1 (WD/WA/C) 1 (GA/GS)

Code of Conduct

Player Rules

  • Wear suitable footwear – trainers (netball shoes are strongly advised). No jewellery, hair tied & fingernails cut short.
  • If you unable to take out your studded jewellery, this must be taped. All players who tape jewellery and play indemnify Parklands Netball & Centennial Parklands Sports Centre and their respective directors, umpires, employees from and against all claims, liabilities, damages or causes of action arising out of or in connection with wearing jewellery or items that are permanently attached to the player’s body that are not removable and that the umpire has allowed the player to wear while participating in any game at Centennial Parklands Sports Centre.
  • You will accept responsibility for this, and the risks involved by wearing jewellery whilst playing sport.
  • Always show good sportsmanship
  • Be fair, considerate and honest in all dealing with others.
  • Always treat all players & umpires with Verbal abuse of officials or other players, deliberately fouling or provoking an opponent and throwing/ damaging equipment is not acceptable or permitted.
  • Refrain from any form of personal abuse or any form of harassment towards your players.
  • Condemn the use of violence in any form.
  • Participate fairly and safely.
  • Abide by decisions, without argument or bad temper.
  • Respect the decision of If there is a disagreement, follow the appropriate procedure below to question the decision.
  • Captains have the right to approach an umpire during an interval or after the game for clarification of any rule.
  • Approach the umpire in a courteous and polite way.
  • Do not interfere with the progress and/or conduct of the game.
  • Respect the talent, potential and development of fellow players and competitors.
  • Alcohol & smoking are not permitted on the premises.
  • If there is any failure to adhere to these rules, the player or spectator will be asked to leave the pitch & area.

Spectator Rules

Tennis Online Court Bookings

Competition and Program Bookings

General

Centennial Parklands Sports Centre is managed by Clublinks Management Pty Ltd (Clublinks) under a management agreement with the Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust (the Trust). By making a booking and/or entering the premises of Centennial Parklands Sports Centre you agree to these Terms & Conditions. As part of your Online Booking, you are agreeing you have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions. Centennial Parklands Sports Centre does not refund Online Payments unless the Centre is closed by Management.

Bookings

Successful online bookings will receive an automatic confirmation via email. No further confirmation is required. The internet booking system is directly linked to the reservation software, and the customer will only be contacted if a Centennial Parklands Sports Centre staff member has a query regarding your booking. If a confirmation email is not received, the customer must check that the email entered is correct. For any queries, questions or problems with the Centennial Parklands Sports Centre Booking System please telephone (02) 9662 7033.

The customer is required as proof of booking to provide the reference number, or the credit card used to secure the booking at the time of registration to the Centennial Parklands Sports Centre Tennis Office. Customers require to go to the

Centennial Parklands Sports Centre Tennis Office prior to their booking time to receive their court number.

Should the customer wish to modify or change their booking to an alternative time or date, contact must be made with Centennial Parklands Sports Centre at least 48hrs before the reserved booking time. The customer must email: bookings@parklandssports.com.au

No guarantee can be given to change to the requested date/time. When modifications cannot be processed immediately a ‘credit note’ will be issued. Centennial Parklands Sports Centre reserves the right to close the Centre due to circumstances out of their control where they deem the surface unplayable (including due to weather, lightning, and renovations). An authorised representative will be in contact with the customer to arrange an alternative time or date. When a replacement booking cannot be processed immediately a ‘credit note’ will be issued in Management’s discretion. Should the customer not be able to confirm a re-scheduled booking time, a ‘credit note’ will be provided. To redeem the ‘credit’ the customer is required to reschedule the booking times within six months of the original booking date. ‘Credit notes’ are issued for BOOKING TIMES ONLY and should the customer wish to reserve a booking time of lesser value the difference will be forfeited, alternatively if the booking time booked is a higher rate, then the customer must pay the difference. If the customer fails to re-schedule a new booking time within 6 months, the ‘credit’ will be considered forfeited and no refund will be given. Centennial Parklands Sports Centre reserves the right to refuse a ‘credit note’ should the customer not provide at least 48 hours’ notice to a staff member of Centennial Parklands Sports Centre.

Balance ‘credit notes’ must be used in full before the ‘credit note’ expiry date. Partial ‘credits’ will not be re-issued. If a refund is required due to the closure of the Centennial Parklands Sports Centre, refunds will only be paid towards the credit card used to secure the booking. In the event of a refund, the credit card details must be supplied with the corresponding security pin number. Refunds will not be made after the date of the booking being cancelled.

After the confirmation of credit card details, Management will endeavour to issue refunds within 10 working days.

Centennial Parklands Sports Centre reserves the right to remove customers from the centre. No refunds will be given if the customer is removed from the Centre. If bookings are made in multiples and a customer does not show, no refund will be given for the ‘no show’ customer.

If a customer is unavailable to play for a pre-booked reservation, at least 48hrs notice must be given to an authorised representative of Centennial Parklands Sports Centre (CPSC) and a ‘credit note’ for the booking time will be issued.

Adult and Junior Tennis Programs

All programs should be booked online and paid for prior to the commencement of the term. Descriptions of each of our classes are on the website and it is up to the individual booking into the program to make sure that it is the correct one.

  • There are no make-up lessons or movement of classes due to illness or misadventure of the participant/s.
  • No drop-ins to classes will be allowed due to class numbers and coach ratios.

Adult and Junior Tennis Programs Class Reassignment

The coaching staff may reassign a player to different classes at any time to ensure similar playing standards. If the player cannot attend the new class, or no spots are available at their assigned level, they will be issued a credit note or refund for their remaining sessions.

Wet Weather Policy for Adult and Junior Tennis Programs

Wet weather cancellation notifications will be delivered by SMS (text) message at least 60 minutes before start times when it is possible to do so. No ‘credit notes’ will be issued to customers who assume lessons are cancelled due to wet weather if the lessons are held. If a customer has not received a text message stating lessons are cancelled, assume that lessons are going ahead.

For Adult and Junior Tennis Programs, customers will be offered a ‘credit note’ for every missed lesson due to wet weather except for the first one. E.g.: if eight (8) out of 10 classes are completed, the customer will receive one (1) ‘credit note’.

Additionally:

  • Management reserves the right to put on make-up classes and sessions in lieu of a ‘credit note/s’
    • Make-up sessions need not be scheduled at the customer’s regularly occurring lesson time
    • If customers are unable to attend a make-up session due to their own scheduling conflicts, no ‘credit note/s’ will be issued for that make-up session
  • Management reserves the right to extend term lengths in lieu of ‘credit note/s’
  • If your lesson/program begins and more than half of it is completed, you will not receive a ‘credit note’ for it
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that their contact details are correctly entered and that they are contactable in case of wet weather cancellations and notification of make-up sessions

Private Lesson 24-Hour Cancellation Policy

Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made more than 24 hours before the lesson time, otherwise, the lesson fee will be forfeited.

For individual private lessons, cancellations can be made online by logging into your account. Customers are also able to reschedule their lessons online—as long as this effort occurs more than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time.

Cancellations for lessons in a package must be done by calling Centennial Parklands Sports Centre at (02) 9662 7033 or emailing bookings@parklandssports.com.au.

A cancellation that falls within 24 hours of the lesson time will be charged and deducted from the package.

No ‘credit notes’ will be issued to customers who assume lessons are cancelled due to wet weather or extreme heat if the lesson is not cancelled by management. If a customer has not received a text message stating lessons are cancelled, assume that the lesson is going ahead.

Coaching at CPSC and Moore Park Tennis Courts

Only CPSC Coaches and approved contractors are permitted to conduct coaching on the CPSC and Moore Park Tennis Courts.

For the purpose of this policy, coaching is defined as instructing, feeding tennis balls either from a basket or by hand, or providing sustained and continuous feedback for the duration of the court booking.

Hirers who coach without the written consent of the Venue Manager will be asked to leave. Repeated violations of this policy will result in a ban from the venue.

Competitions at CPSC and Moore Park Tennis Courts

Competitions will be conducted across various times of the year. The CPSC website will provide details of the enrolment processes with information of each competition. All entries must be paid for prior to the first week of competition.

Further details will be sent to those enrolled in the competitions. Where 80% of the competition is played, it will be deemed a completed competition. If less than that, Management will be in contact with options.

Attire

Playing without a shirt is strictly prohibited. Appropriate footwear such as closed-toe athletic shoes must be worn while on the tennis courts. Hirers are encouraged to wear tennis-specific clothing for optimal performance and comfort. We reserve the right to refuse access to the courts to any individual not in compliance with these attire regulations. Any violation of the attire guidelines may result in temporary suspension or termination of hirer privileges.

To the extent that the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 applies this release is limited to responsibility and legal liability for death or personal injury and does not apply to any person if significant personal injury was caused by the reckless conduct of that person, as defined under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
